The Decision Engine

Scan · Forecast · Interpret · Decide · Execute

New Horizon started as an autonomous trading operator: a pipeline that reads the world, forecasts it, weighs the evidence, and acts under hard risk limits — with no analyst in the loop. The equity-trading business has since been wound down. The engine is what we kept, and it is the same machinery that now runs the rest of the company: generate, evaluate, decide, ship.

What follows is the architecture — every stage proven in live paper trading against real markets, with audit logs, circuit breakers, and a kill switch.

One Pipeline, Five Stages

Aggregate, apply guardrails, choose an action
05

Act under hard risk limits + kill switch

What's Under the Hood

Honest Findings

Two years of building and back-testing this stack against live markets taught us one thing clearly: a durable return edge is extraordinarily hard to find, and most "signals" don't survive realistic costs. What is robust is risk control — drawdown reduction, calibrated uncertainty, and disciplined execution under hard limits.

That's the real product. The same orchestration, evaluation, and guardrail machinery now drives an autonomous company that generates, QAs, and ships products every day. The trading work was the proving ground.
